Day 1
Depart from your airport
Day 2
Arrive in Japan! Meet and greet at the airport is provided and a show is on our agenda tonight.
Day 3
Finding souvenirs and seeing one of the most famous shrines in Japan, Senso-ji is on the agenda today. An optional visit to Ueno park happens during late afternoon.
Day 4
We visit the Ginza and Nihombashi areas today, we can venture to the Imperial Palace gardens or see a variety of museums.
Day 5
To the east we go as we visit Odaiba, a man-made peninsula in Tokyo bay. It’s the modern Tokyo with shopping malls, sandy beaches, and an indoor amusement park.
Day 6
Early morning to visit the world’s largest Starbuck’s. Then we will see the beauty of the Japanese gardens in Shinjuku today and experience a daytime view from the top of Tokyo. In the evening, we are off to Kabiki-cho (the red-light district).
Day 7
Shibuya all day! We will see the famous Hachiko, the largest crossing in the world, love letter alley and do our shopping all along the way! The Tokyo Food Show may be for dinner.
Day 8
Japanese street fashion in Harajuku today. A calming afternoon visiting Meiji Shrine (my favorite!) and then to Ometesando Hills for souvenirs.
Day 9
Transportation is provided to the airport. We hope you leave Japan with memories made for a lifetime!

Being a first-timer in Japan, I didn’t know the ‘lay of the land,’ much less the culture and language of the Japanese people. I have been on tours before, but they were large groups with typical cookie-cutter touristy agendas on what to see and do, those were ok.

Tokyo Escapes was different.
